OrthoCuban and granddaughter

19 April 2010 · by  Fr. Ernesto 7 Comments

For those of you wondering why OrthoCuban has been a little irregular in his posting lately, see the photograph at the right. Yes, that is OrthoCuban with our family’s newest grandchild. She was just baptized this past Sunday. I would think about posting something on the blog via my laptop, then I would look at my granddaughter and . . . .

Well, what would happen is that my laptop and this blog would take a fast several places down the priority list. If I was not with our granddaughter, I was with our daughter and son-in-law. Yes, it has been a wonderful weekend with family and away from thinking about the parish or about the blog.

Before you wonder, yes, you all are also important to me. For all the strong discussions that we have had on this blog at times, it has been your questions and even your strong disagreements with me that have kept returning me to the Scriptures, to the Church Fathers, and to sound philosophical thinking. But, it is a matter of priorities. And, look at that cute granddaughter’s face in the photograph. She has a higher priority status than this blog. GRIN.

But, I expect to return to regular blogging this week.

Your granddaughter is beautiful, Father Ernesto! I don’t blame you at all for spending as much time as you can with her. My 3 month old great niece just had her first laugh this week! I didn’t get to hear it, but I am amazed that at 3 months, a baby finds something so amusing that she laughs. It’s kind of like a miracle.

What a great picture–the smiling granddaughter as well as the smiling grandfather. Many years to both of you-

Oh my goodness, could she be any cuter or happier? And how about her grandfather? Just look at the two if you! Priceless and contagious! ;). Happy happy happy!
