Biden vs Palin, next morning hangover

3 October 2008 · by  Fr. Ernesto 2 Comments

Just like last time, I am posting a little next morning notes after I have had the opportunity to “sleep” on the debate. So, what everyone is asking, “Who won?”

On technical points, there is little doubt that Sen. Biden won. That was expected. In fact, had he done anything but win, it would have been a tragedy for the Democratic party. It solidified his reputation as an experienced leader with executive abilities. He certainly reassured some voters, who were cautious about Sen. Obama’s experience, that Sen. Obama would have a strong partner upon whom to rely for sage advice.

But, Gov. Palin did what she had to do. She showed that she could stand on a stage and trade punches successfully with Sen. Biden. No, she did not win the debate. But, then again, no one really expected her to do that. Of more importance to her and the Republican party, she was successful and did not embarrass either herself or her party. She gave credence to the charge that the national media was being too hard on her, and the Republican Party needed that. But, more than that, she probably stopped some of the undecided from deciding for another week or two. And, the Republican party needed that breathing room.

Oh my dear misled brother. According to Fox News, Sarah Palin won the debate. Is is that your so anxious to go back to the days of socialism or maybe communism as in Cuba that you back this man or is it male menopause? More government control? Obama is looking for control like Castro was. No thank you.

Senator Obama does not have the experience nor the know how to be our president. Sarah Palin at this time does not either but she is the one that who is still far enough away from Washington bureaucracy that she is still in touch with the people. Give her time. I believe more in her than I do anyone else. McCain is the true American here. He has the know how. He is making the right statements for the people and not attempting to deliver on things that he can’t. No big government control. Not give other countries our money and keep it here where it belongs to help the people here? He has my vote. He also has the know how to handle terrorism and the troops.

If I didn’t love you, I’d probably take you out of my will. Well, okay, so your not in my $10 will. Sounded really fierce though didn’t it? Sounded like Biden. Lip service! Oops!

On another note……How long did everyone have to practice to be that nice to each other? I can think of one female that was her true self. 🙂 Politics! I hate them! But I love messing with you!

    Love you…..confused big brother

For all of you who are wondering, yes, that is my Real Life sister. We love each other, but are in different parts of the political spectrum in this election. GRIN.

And, since she grew up with me and has seen me at my worst, she has no undue respect for my collar. 🙂
