The commercial above had me in tears. It also reminded me of a verse from Philippians:
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
We often do not realize what a sacrifice the second person of the Trinity made in order to become one with us. The advertisement above gives us but a bit of a glimpse into what it meant for the Son of God to become man.
But, the video above also reminds me that we are to do the same as Our Lord Jesus Christ did. The men in the video most definitely took on “the form of a bondservant …” and humbled themselves for the sake of their friend.
Let us learn to humble ourselves, let us choose to humble ourselves, let us seek to serve others, so that our God might be glorified.
