Sue Dent, it has been too long since I have mentioned her

30 August 2012 · by  Fr. Ernesto 3 Comments

There is a Christian author I read several years ago. At that time I published a couple of reviews and a theological discussion of her writing. I must admit, it was not only the story, but the theological underpinnings that intrigued me. Her name is Sue Dent, and she has had all the problems of an independent Christian author of fiction stories that are not “approved” by the current folk who basically control Christian publishing in the USA (but that is another whole subject). It has been at least a couple of years since I have mentioned her, but let me quote from her press kit:

Sue Dent hails from Mississippi and is the author of Never Ceese, Forever Richard and Electric Angel through Black Bed Sheet Books. Never Ceese, her debut novel and first installment in her Thirsting for Blood Series appeared on the 2007 preliminary ballot for a Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. Her second book in the series, Forever Richard, made the 2009 long-list at the British Fantasy Society.

Both Never Ceese and Forever Richard made the 2009 Pluto Award long-list with Never Ceese moving on to be a top three finalist. Never Ceese was also Book Club Choice of the month at the American Christian Fiction Writers Association in May of 2007. Her newest release Electric Angel is currently is “wowing” everyone who reads it as well as being turned into a Graphic Novel to be released in three separate on-line comics which will be combined into one novel.

Dent’s stories continue to appeal to general market readers with surprise appeal to several niche markets. Sue is presently with Black Bed Sheet Books who is republishing Never Ceese, Forever Richard and soon Cyn No More.

You can buy Never Ceese and Forever Richard through Amazon. Electric Angel is a bit harder to get as it is done through a small publisher. But, give her a try. Begin with Never Ceese. You can find my original review of that book here.

Aw, Electric Angel is available through Amazon as well and earned a resounding review from the British Fantasy Society, “Simply Brilliant” and by a reviewer who added my books to the Pope’s list of recommended reads. If I’m lying, I!’m dying! ;D But you can get ALL my books ALL day long through my publisher at http://www.downwarden.com/blackbedsheetstore/ OR you can go to SueDent.net and I’ll help you out personally! ;D
