For Want of a Nail

9 May 2011 · by  Fr. Ernesto 1 Comment

For want of a nail the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe the horse was lost. For want of a horse the rider was lost. For want of a rider the battle was lost. For want of a battle the kingdom was lost. And all for the want of a horseshoe nail. The […]

Desert Fathers, silence, and wisdom

8 May 2011 · by  Fr. Ernesto 2 Comments

Compel yourselves in silence, the mother of all godly virtues. 2 May 2011 · by  Fr. Ernesto 2 Comments

“I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.” — Mark Twain Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on […]

Return to hiatus

1 May 2011 · by  Fr. Ernesto Leave a Comment

Having posted on the Alabama tornadoes, I am going to return to a short hiatus. I still wish to get a little rest and time for reflection. Do keep on praying for the Alabama recovery as it will take months for recovery to happen.
