Father Orthoduck wishes to point out that Fr. Ernesto was completely unaware that there have been two discussions on the very subject on Ancient Faith Radio, the section called The Illumined Heart. Look under April 17, 2009 for the first part of the discussion. Look under the June 26, 2009 podcast for the second part of the discussion. Fr. Ernesto was not aware that the second part of the discussion was from an economics professor who is a capitalist but is against laissez faire capitalism. The only reason Father Orthoduck wishes to point this out is that the discussion is carried on in a Christian manner. That is, while both people are making their points strongly, they are made with respect. This is the type of honest, respectful discussion that we do need to have, as Orthodox.
This also gives Father Orthoduck to publicize Ancient Faith Radio and to recommend that you listen to its various podcasts and read its various stories. They range from theology to mysticism to economics to music to . . . . Father Orthoduck highly commends Ancient Faith Radio, and other Orthodox media for their growing presence.
