On Marines
Next month is the anniversary of the founding of the Marines in the USA. On 10 November 1775, Captain Samuel Nicholas formed two battalions of Continental Marines in Philadelphia as naval infantry. So, Father Orthoduck cannot resist in mentioning what he has heard. He was told that it is indeed true that the Marine Corps are part of the Department of the Navy. They are the men’s department.
