Cuba’s first Russian Orthodox cathedral opens from Associated Press

[Added later comment: Please follow the link above. The reason for that box that some are having trouble seeing is that it was a requirement of the AP, in order for me to have copyright permission to publish the story on my blog. However, whoever writes the I-frame does not write it in such a way that it will "fill" a blog entry.]

  1. Huw says:

What will the right-wing politicos say? Back when the Greeks opened a church there, all heck broke loose in the Neocon Blogosphere (including among many Orthodox Converts) about the presence of an Orthodox Temple in a Communist Country: who did they (the EP) have to sleep with to get that? Didn’t they know that Communisim Killed Everybody?

Lo, now the Russians, too, have decided the Cubans are worth saving.

  2. I hope you are wrong, but I fear that you are right. I will be keeping an eye on the blogosphere to see what comments are made on this story.
